Scott Taylor Sr.

Managing Partner | Wealth Management Advisor

Scott Taylor is the managing partner of Avail Wealth Group. In this role, he mentors the firm’s other wealth management advisors and focuses on Avail’s growth strategy in all areas – attracting new advisors, expanding the services available to existing clients, and acquiring new clients.

Scott and his other colleagues established Avail to help successful individuals and business owners align their personal financial goals with their business financial goals. Scott enjoys partnering with clients seeking to create a lifetime of wealth that can be passed to future generations through forward-looking and collaborative planning.

Scott began his career in the financial services industry in 1989 as a wealth management advisor. Scott spent almost 20 years at Northwestern Mutual and went on to join MassMutual in 2017 as a wealth management advisor before starting Avail Wealth Group in March of 2022.

Scott is passionate about his life, business, career, and family. In 2014, Scott suffered a devastating loss when his wife, Sandy, and best friend of 40 years passed away. Following her death, he retired for 3 years to grieve and reflect on life, but he realized that something was missing – his job! Scott doesn’t see what he does as a job. Instead, he sees it as being a partner to clients, guiding them as they approach retirement.

Scott is an adventurer and a family man. He has two grown sons, Scottie and Brett, whom he enjoys regularly traveling with to places that aren’t your typical vacation spots. Scott also enjoys spending time in Florida to experience the sunny weather and beach, as well as in Telluride, Colorado to experience the spectacular mountains and skiing.

Clients are the driving force behind all that Scott does at Avail. Scott has been told he has the experience of a veteran with the heart of a teacher. This is very much reflected in the deep relationships he has cultivated with clients over the years. When asked to define clients’ perception of Avail, Scott says “all clients know that we care about their families and retirements, which shows in the way we identify their goals and design personalized financial roadmaps for them to follow.” Scott values clients’ feedback and is proud of the fact that what clients most often say about Avail Wealth Group and all of its employees is “they deeply care, which couldn’t be a truer statement.”
