Thomas H. Acerra Jr., better known as “TJ,” is the President & Founder at Avail Wealth Group. He specializes in working with business owners, executives, and affluent families on holistic planning, disciplined investment strategies, and personal service.

 

TJ attended both Gettysburg College and Monmouth University, where he received his BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. During college, TJ worked for a private accounting firm and quickly realized that he wanted to apply his financial knowledge to a career where he could work directly with people and positively impact their lives. TJ began working as a financial advisor for MassMutual in 2014. He started Avail Wealth Group in early 2022 to begin a new chapter focused on objective advice without proprietary products in an open architecture platform. Over the last decade, TJ has obtained insurance licenses in Property & Casualty and Life & Health. He also holds the following securities licenses through LPL Financial: Series 6, 7, 63 & 65.

 

TJ was born and raised in Monmouth County, New Jersey, and still enjoys living close to the beach. He is a hard worker who attributes this trait to his family, who taught him by example. In his free time, TJ enjoys spending time with his family and friends outdoors, doing such activities as mountain biking, golfing, and scuba diving. TJ is also a Vince Lombardi Lineman Award recipient and an Eagle Scout, two honors of which he is especially proud given the hard work and dedication required to achieve them.

 

TJ takes the values instilled in him, and the lessons taught to him early in life and incorporates them into his financial advisory practice. He loves helping clients make informed and meaningful decisions based on their unique aspirations, priorities, and goals. Given his own large family, TJ’s practice is also very focused on future generations. He describes the financial strategies he builds as ones that “encourage clients to think about where they’ve come from, where they’re going, and what they want to leave behind.”
